Sinkhole in the Roadway of Watercourse Road in West bay, 30 January

30th January, 2020

Just before 2:30PM today, 30 January, police responded to a report of a sinkhole that appeared on Watercourse Road, between Eureka Drive and Hamlet Lane in West Bay. The sinkhole is along the roadway and officers on scene have marked out the area for motorist to be aware of it.

The southbound lanes of the Esterley Tibbetts Highway, between the Cayman International School roundabout and the AL Thompsons roundabout, have been temporarily closed due to the fire at the George Town Landfill. The northbound lanes currently remain open but may also be closed if necessary.
