For a better experience on RCIPS, UPDATE YOUR BROWSER. Shortly after 1:50AM today, 6 August, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a liquor store on Maclendon Drive, George Town. It was reported that a man entered the location, brandished a firearm and demanded cash from the staff there. The male then fled the location on foot with a quantity of cash.
A 27-year-old-man of George Town has been formally charged by the police on two counts of Robbery and one count of Possession of an Imitation Firearm with Intent.
The RCIPS is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 27-year-old Luisto Eusebio Hernandez, who was last known to be living in East End.
On Friday 15 July, police executed a search warrant under the Firearm Law (2008 Revision) at a residence in the Tropical Gardens area of George Town which resulted in three persons being arrested.
Police investigated two reports of shots fired in George Town on Saturday morning, 9 July. No injuries were reported as a result of either incident and both matters are currently under investigation. It is unknown at this time whether the incidents are connected.
Police are investigating a burglary at a jewellery store on Goring Avenue. The culprits gained entry through the front entrance, smashing the front doors, and several glass cases containing jewellery within the store were broken into.
At about 2:40AM today, 7 July, police received a report of an aggravated burglary and assault which had taken place at an address off Birch Tree Hill Road in West Bay. It was reported that a man had broken into a residence while carrying a machete, attacked one of the occupants with the machete and then fled the scene.
Shortly before 2:30AM, Sunday 3 July, police received a report of a male intruder who entered a unit at a condominium complex, North of Earth Close, on West Bay Road, and touched a child inappropriately while she was asleep in a bedroom with her parent, startling her awake.
Police can now confirm the identity of the victim of the fatal shooting on Gun Square Road, Bodden Town, on 1 July. He is 32-year-old Jovin Omar Fuentes, of Bodden Town.
A man, age 31 of Bodden Town, has been arrested in relation to the stabbing incident which occurred outside a bar in Seven Mile Shops on West Bay Road on the morning of Friday, 24 June.
