On Monday 21 February, Stephany Clarke, a 29 year old woman from Jamaica, was sentenced to four months imprisonment for failing to comply with Cayman Islands Public Health Regulations, when she flew into Grand Cayman on 9 September with a positive PCR test.
The black 2016 Jeep Wrangler, which was reported stolen on Thursday, 17 February (see below), was recovered yesterday, 22 February.
The RCIPS is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 54-year-old Allen Ronald McLean, who was last known to be living in the George Town area. Mr. McLean is wanted by the police for drug-related offences.
On Tuesday, 8 February, police arrested a 21 year old man in relation to an aggravated burglary that took place on Tuesday, 1 February, at a residence located on Anne Bonny Crescent, South Sound.
On Wednesday, 9 February, at about 9:30AM, officers from various units in the RCIPS conducted a search of an address in George Town, under the Misuse of Drugs Law. During the search, officers recovered a large quantity of suspected cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia and a large sum of cash.
The man, age 26 of George Town, who was arrested on Monday, 3 January, in relation to an attack on a female jogger on South Sound Road which took place earlier the same morning, was formally charged yesterday with Assault ABH in relation to the incident.
Shortly after 6:45PM yesterday, Tuesday, 8 February, police responded to a report of a female teenager found unresponsive at a residential address on Water Street, Bodden Town.
Just after 8:40AM, Wednesday 2 February, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to Kentsville Drive in George Town where it was reported that two men were fighting on a work site and one of the men was struck in the head with an object by the other, and badly injured
Shortly after 2:00AM today, 28 January, officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Hirst Road, Bodden Town, in the vicinity of Butterfly Circle. It was reported that two men at the location were involved in an altercation with each other and both had received multiple stab wounds.
The prison officer, a man age 40 of Bodden Town, who was arrested on 15 July, 2021, on suspicion of drug offenses, has been formally charged with 2 counts each of Smuggling, Possession of Ganja, Possession of Ganja with Intent to Supply, and 1 count each of Breach of Trust by a Public Officer, and Giving a False Address.
