RCIPS’ holiday safety operation, Winter Guardian, commenced on Thursday, 1 December, and sees increased community foot patrols, high visibility mobile patrols and intensified road enforcement operations, supported by road safety education and awareness campaigns.

Over this past weekend, 15 – 18 April, the RCIPS conducted its yearly Easter operations across the island, beginning with issuing tips to the public on how to stay safe, increasing police presence on the roadways, as well as visiting various camp sites and residential areas.
A man, age 30 of George Town, has been arrested on suspicion of robbery, in relation to the several recent robbery incidents; and on suspicion of aggravated burglary, in relation to a historic burglary; following a police operation in the vicinity of Boilers Road, George Town.
Shortly after 7:30PM on Monday, 11 April, a report was received of a vessel which was said to have been having engine trouble and drifting with one person aboard, while two other persons had entered the water. The Cayman Islands Coast Guard responded and all three persons were later accounted for, having reached shore safely.
