As part of the 2024 RCIPS Recruitment Drive, the RCIPS will be hosting a Career Open House in Grand Cayman, at the Compass Centre on Shedden Road on Saturday, 11 May, from 9AM – 1PM. 

RCIPS investigates an armed robbery incident that took place at a business establishment on West Bay Road, 2 May.

At around 7:15PM, Wednesday 1 May, officers and other emergency services were dispatched by the 911 communication center to a resort in the vicinity of Governors Beach, West Bay Road, regarding a report of an unresponsive male on the beach in front of the resort.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service has launched its 2024 Summer Local Recruitment Campaign, seeking applications from young Caymanians who are interested in joining the RCIPS as Recruit Constables.

A George Town man has been arrested in relation to several acquisitive crimes and investigations into these matters are on-going.

The RCIPS has commenced a phased approach towards enhancing policing presence and response time in the districts of North Side and East End. As part of this process, the officers assigned to these districts will be operating out of the East End Police Station.

Police are seeing an increase in the numbers of reports of thefts from vehicles, both being left insecure and vehicle windows being smashed and items stolen. Commonly stolen items include tools, jewelery, electronics and money.

Shortly after 1:30AM, police responded to a report of a male attacking persons with a bladed weapon at a licensed premises on Seymour Road, George Town.
