Shortly after 9:30PM on Saturday, 25 October, officers responded to a report of a collision on Sea View Road, in the vicinity of Welcome Way, East End, involving a Honda Fit and a pedestrian. Following the collision, the driver of the vehicle was approached by members of the public who damaged the vehicle and assaulted her.
Tashaena Williams, age 15, who was reported missing on Monday, 15 September, has been located.
Officers approached a man who was wanted in relation to a theft of a vehicle, who violently resisted officers’ attempts to arrest him. A struggle ensued, during which the man drew a knife on the officers, at which time officers deployed a taser.
While attempting to arrest a man wanted in relation to a violent crime, officers were obstructed and assaulted by a member of the public. Both parties were arrested and have been formally charged.
Shortly after 4:20AM on Friday, 15 August, officers responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Shamrock Road and Hirst Road. The vehicles were recovered by police for processing, and it was later ascertained that both vehicles had been stolen.
A charging decision has been made in relation to the assault incident which took place on Rex Crighton Boulevard on 19 February, 2025, involving a 17-year-old male and a man age 72. The 17-year-old is being charged with Inconsiderate Driving, while the 72-year-old man is being charged with Common Assault.
At approximately 7:00 PM on Friday, 4 July, emergency services – including police, fire, and ambulance, were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to reports of a house explosion in the Look Out Gardens area of Bodden Town.
The Cayman Islands Coast Guard confirms the formal suspension of active search operations in relation to the ongoing Search and Recovery effort.
