Police are investigating reports of two stolen boats and a report of a stolen boat trailer, received over the past two weeks along with other vehicles which have been reported stolen since the beginning of the year.
On Sunday, March 27th officers from the Eastern Districts had cause to attend a residence located on John McLean Drive. On arrival they observed the gathering of a crowd and what appeared to be illegal sale of liquor and illegal animals (fowls) fighting matches.
On Monday 28 March, the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit was officially expanded to include a new unit of seven police officers. The unit is being led by one sergeant, PS Joleta Wolliston, and she will have six constables working alongside her to meet the needs of Road Policing in the Eastern Districts.
Over this past weekend, 25 – 27 March, RCIPS officers responded to multiple incidents where persons brandished machetes during altercations or confrontations, three of which resulted in persons being injured.
This afternoon, Monday 21 March, shortly before 12.30pm, police officers attended an incident on North Side Road, in the vicinity of Old Man Bay, involving a man who was acting erratically on the roadway and endangering himself and others.
Motorists are being advised that due to public complaints regarding safety, poor driving practices and traffic congestion between Anton Bodden Drive and Condor Road in Bodden Town, access to Anton Bodden Drive (located next to the Bodden Town Police Station), will be closed to the public.
Yesterday, Friday 18 February, at approximately 3:30PM, officers were informed that Seamard Green, a 43 year old male from Bodden Town, who was involved in the collision that took place on 16 February, succumbed to his injuries yesterday morning and was pronounced dead at 10:15AM by the attending doctor at the hospital.
Police are investigating a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian, that took place at approximately 5:15PM on Thursday, 3 February at the Grand Harbour Roundabout in George Town.
Shortly after 2:00AM today, 28 January, officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Hirst Road, Bodden Town, in the vicinity of Butterfly Circle. It was reported that two men at the location were involved in an altercation with each other and both had received multiple stab wounds.
