This afternoon, Monday 21 March, shortly before 12.30pm, police officers attended an incident on North Side Road, in the vicinity of Old Man Bay, involving a man who was acting erratically on the roadway and endangering himself and others.
Motorists are being advised that due to public complaints regarding safety, poor driving practices and traffic congestion between Anton Bodden Drive and Condor Road in Bodden Town, access to Anton Bodden Drive (located next to the Bodden Town Police Station), will be closed to the public.
Yesterday, Friday 18 February, at approximately 3:30PM, officers were informed that Seamard Green, a 43 year old male from Bodden Town, who was involved in the collision that took place on 16 February, succumbed to his injuries yesterday morning and was pronounced dead at 10:15AM by the attending doctor at the hospital.
Police are investigating a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian, that took place at approximately 5:15PM on Thursday, 3 February at the Grand Harbour Roundabout in George Town.
Shortly after 2:00AM today, 28 January, officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Hirst Road, Bodden Town, in the vicinity of Butterfly Circle. It was reported that two men at the location were involved in an altercation with each other and both had received multiple stab wounds.
The prison officer, a man age 40 of Bodden Town, who was arrested on 15 July, 2021, on suspicion of drug offenses, has been formally charged with 2 counts each of Smuggling, Possession of Ganja, Possession of Ganja with Intent to Supply, and 1 count each of Breach of Trust by a Public Officer, and Giving a False Address.
The prison officer, a man age 39 of West Bay, who was arrested on 9 June, 2021, on suspicion of drug offenses, was formally charged with one count of Smuggling and two counts of Possession of Ganja with Intent to Supply, on 23 September, 2021.
During the early morning hours of Saturday, 8 January, 2022, the Air Operations Unit, while conducting coastline patrol in the Beach Bay area of the Bodden Town District, spotted suspicious activity. Officers responded and during the search of the area two vehicles were recovered containing a large quantity of ganja.
Yesterday morning, 13 December, police responded to a report of a firearm incident in the vicinity of John McLean Drive in East End. On arriving at the scene police spoke with the complainant and another man and women that were alleged to have been involved in the incident.
