The public is being informed that today Thursday 21 July, Fort Street between the Town Clock and the junction of Seafarers Way as well as Albert Panton Street to the junction of Edward Street is now closed.
Shortly before 5:30PM yesterday, 5 July, officers responded to a report of a person in distress in the waters off West Bay Road, west of Marsh Road. A man had entered the water when he experienced difficulties and lost consciousness. He was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by ambulance and subsequently pronounced dead.
The RCIPS has seen an increase in the number of incidents that involve persons attending bars and nightclubs, while in possession of an offensive or restricted weapon.
Police have now confirm the identity of the man who was found deceased yesterday, 21 June, in East End. The RCIPS expresses condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
Since the beginning of the year, the RCIPS has noted an increase in incidents of theft and burglary of construction tools and equipment. As such, the RCIPS is advising persons involved in construction work of precautions they can take against such thefts.
The RCIPS have seen a recent increase in the number of Honda vehicles stolen on Grand Cayman, specifically; CRV, Civic and Accord models. The majority of these stolen vehicles are registered pre 2002.
The RCIPS is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 23-year-old Justin Kyle Jackson, who was last known to be living in the West Bay area, and Gail Michelle Ross, age 45, who was last known to be living in the West Bay Area.
