Just after 10:10PM on Saturday 4 May, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a wounding incident that was believed to have taken place on Birch Tree Hill Road.
This past Friday, 3 May, three persons were formally charged with multiple offenses related to conspiracy to supply illegally obtained pharmaceutical drugs, following an investigation which began in February, 2023. The persons involved are accused of using fraudulent prescriptions to obtain opioids (Percocet/Oxycodone).
Shortly before midnight, Sunday 5 May, police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a restaurant in the vicinity of Shedden Road and Dr Roy’s Drive, George Town.
The two men who were arrested in relation to the recovered firearm on Sunday, 5 May, have since been formally charged by the police. Both men, ages 24 and 27 of West Bay, have been jointly charged with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm and Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm (Ammunition).
