A woman was standing near the intersection of Neon Close and Mount Pleasant Road, West Bay, when she was approached by two men with their faces covered, who robbed her of personal belongings.
Police are investigating a serious wounding incident that took place in the School Road area of George Town. Detectives are seeking witnesses and encouraging persons to come forward with any information they can provide.
The National Gun Amnesty comes to a close at 7:00PM on Sunday, 11 August. This means that there are only three days remaining in which persons can take advantage of the opportunity to hand in illegal guns without fear of prosecution for possession of the weapon. This morning, 8 August, officers arrested a man, age 76 of Cayman Brac, on suspicion of murder in relation to the death of 35-year-old Eva Glee Ebanks in an incident which took place on 16 October, 1997, in Cayman Brac.

As the RCIPS continues in its efforts to encourage persons to relinquish their unlicensed firearms, two more firearms were handed in this past weekend. The three men, American nationals ages 32, 32, and 33, who were arrested on Tuesday, 19 March, after making suspected fraudulent credit card purchases, have been formally charged with three counts each of Obtaining Property by Deception, for several purchases totaling over $50,000CI in value.
