Police can now confirm the identity of the deceased in the fatal two-vehicle collision which took place on Tuesday, 14 February, in Cayman Brac. He is 47-year-old Thomas William McLean Sr, of Cayman Brac.

RCIPS Issues Reminder on DUIs Following Weekend Arrests, 14 February

14th February, 2023

This past weekend, RCIPS officers arrested nine persons on suspicion of DUI, with eight of the arrests taking place overnight Friday, from 10 to 11 February. Four of the arrests took place following motor-vehicle collisions; two drivers were arrested with a blood alcohol reading of under 0.100%.

A man, age 33 of West Bay, was arrested on Wednesday, 1 February, after brandishing an imitation firearm, leaving the scene of a collision and attempting to evade police.

Police Investigate Collision on Sea View Road, 19 January

Shortly after 4:15PM yesterday, 18 January, officers responded to a report of a four-vehicle collision which occurred on Sea View Road in East End. Two occupants of one of the vehicles involved were transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police Investigate Fatal Collision in George Town, 10 December

Police are investigating a fatal collision was reported at about 1:30AM on Saturday, 10 December, involving a single-vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead, while the passenger is in critical condition.
