The RCIPS is advising the public of the following road closures happening in order to accommodate the Ministry and Dept. of Planning, Agriculture, Housing and Infrastructure’s inaugural Town Market on Friday, 17 February.
Police and other emergency services responded to a report of a collision that took place on West Church Street in the vicinity of the West Bay Police Station. It appeared that the two occupants of the vehicle were engaged in a physical altercation.
This past weekend, RCIPS officers arrested nine persons on suspicion of DUI, with eight of the arrests taking place overnight Friday, from 10 to 11 February. Four of the arrests took place following motor-vehicle collisions; two drivers were arrested with a blood alcohol reading of under 0.100%.

Shortly after 4:15PM yesterday, 18 January, officers responded to a report of a four-vehicle collision which occurred on Sea View Road in East End. Two occupants of one of the vehicles involved were transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment and have since been discharged.
In order to facilitate the National Heroes Day Celebrations which are taking place on Monday, 23 January, the following road closures will be in place from Friday, 20 January at 9:00PM to Monday, 23 January, at 3:00PM. As New Year’s Eve approaches, the RCIPS would like to remind the public that Operation Winter Guardian continues and the public can expect to see amplified police presence over the holiday weekend. Officers will be carrying out high visibility patrols at events and areas with large gatherings.
Police are investigating a fatal collision was reported at about 1:30AM on Saturday, 10 December, involving a single-vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead, while the passenger is in critical condition.
