Shortly before 9:30PM on Friday, 11 March, officers responded to a report of a traffic collision on West Bay Road, north of the Yacht Club Roundabout. The driver of one of the vehicles received injuries which appear to be serious but non-life-threatening, and was transported to hospital.
Shortly after 9:30PM yesterday, 10 March, officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision in George Town, at the intersection of Walkers Road and Melmac Avenue.
Due to ongoing construction in the Cricket Square area of Elgin Avenue George Town, a section of the eastbound lane between the CNB Roundabout and Claude Hill Road will be closed, from today 6.30 pm Thursday 10th March until 6.30 am Friday 11th March.
Bluff Road in South Side West, Cayman Brac has now been re-opened to the public following an extensive on scene investigation that was carried out by the accident re-constructionists who attended from Grand Cayman, along with the CIFS Fire Investigators; both were assisted by officers of Cayman Brac Police Station.
UPDATE: Police can now confirm the identity of the man who was found deceased on Friday, 4 March, on Eastern Avenue (see below). He is 53-year-old David Samuel Bodden, of George Town.
Just before 1:30PM today, police and other emergency services were dispatched to Mangrove Avenue in the Prospect area to a single vehicle collision involving a black Honda motor car.
The RCIPS is informing the public that there will be work conducted on the pedestrian crossings adjacent to Heroes Square in George Town, on Thursday, 3 March, between 10:00AM and 3:00PM. As a result, motorists can expect delays in the area during these times.
Yesterday, Friday 18 February, at approximately 3:30PM, officers were informed that Seamard Green, a 43 year old male from Bodden Town, who was involved in the collision that took place on 16 February, succumbed to his injuries yesterday morning and was pronounced dead at 10:15AM by the attending doctor at the hospital.
With the Superbowl taking place this coming Sunday, 13 February, the RCIPS is reminding members of the public and owners of establishments, of the Public Health Regulations currently in force.
