Just after 11AM this morning, Monday 29 April, police was dispatched to the hospital where they were informed that an 85-year-old-woman who was visiting from the Florida, USA was found unresponsive at the Smith Cove Beach, South Church Street, George Town.
On Saturday 27 April, police arrested 2 male youths on suspicion of burglary and damage to property.
Just after 11:50PM last night, 24 April, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a location on South Church Street, George Town, where it was reported that a vehicle hit a tree and had smoke coming from it.
Earlier this month, several RCIPS officers participated in a Mass Casualty Incident Management and Instructor Course, along with some of Cayman’s other law enforcement and emergency service agencies.
Just before 4:30PM on Saturday 13 April, a 48-year-old-man was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine and suspicion of possession of ganja near a liquor-licensed establishment on Little Cayman.
Just before 4:40PM on 3 April, police attempted to stop silver Toyota Camry after observing the vehicle driving erratically along North Sound Road in George Town. The man will appear in court today, answering to charges on Dangerous Driving and Possession of Cocaine.
On Wednesday and Thursday, 27 and 28 March, the RCIPS played a large part in facilitating the visit of Their Royal Highnesses, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.
On Thursday 14 March, the RCIPS celebrated the service and dedication of seven officers who have retired from the service former Inspector Winsome Prendergast, former Inspector Livingston Bailey, former Sergeant Clesford Lumsden, PC Mary Reese, PC Leonora Yates, AC Lawrence Woods and AC Elaine Thomas.
Around 6PM, on Tuesday 19 February, a member of the public called the West Bay Police Station to inform police that two dogs were stranded in a well in the Shores area of West Bay. Two officers dispatched to the area where two black dogs, one with some brown colouring, were at the bottom of an uncovered well.
