We would like to thank the public for doing their part in following our laws, and helping to keep Cayman safe and peaceful.
The RCIPS Holiday Safety Campaign is ongoing this week, as the intensified road enforcement operations which began at the beginning of the month continue. CPD officers have also been conducting evening foot patrols this week in main commercial areas around the island to increase visibility and reassurance to the public.
The Red Bay Church of God Holiness is hosting their annual Christmas Caroling procession on Friday, 20 December, and Saturday, 21 December starting at 6:00PM and ending at 12:30AM both nights.
Kirk Freeport is hosting their annual Christmas on Cardinall Avenue event this Saturday, 14 December. To facilitate the event, Cardinall Avenue will be closed between Harbour Drive and Albert Panton Street from 4:00PM to 8:00PM.
Shortly after 7:45 this morning officers were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision on Hirst Road in Bodden Town, near the intersection with Shamrock Road, where a Toyota Windom had left the roadway and overturned. Emergency services arrived on scene and attended to the driver who had sustained minor injuries.
Shortly before 6:00AM on Monday, 10 December, officers responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Shamrock Road and Watershed Circle involving a silver Toyota sedan and silver Lincoln sedan.
Shortly before 7:00PM on Monday, 10 December, officers were dispatched to a traffic collision on the Esterley Tibbetts Highway in the vicinity of the Yacht Club roundabout involving a Chevrolet Tahoe and Honda CR-V. The occupants of both vehicles were transported to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The East End Community Association is hosting a Children’s Christmas Party on Saturday, 14 December at 2:30PM. As part of this event there will be a procession along Sea View Road, Austin Conolly Drive and the Queens Highway.

The 2019 Intertrust Cayman Islands Marathon takes place on Sunday, 8 December, from 5:00AM to 11:30AM. There will be several road closures along its route. Motorists travelling in these areas on Sunday should be mindful of the safety of participants and spectators. Police will be on hand to direct traffic along the route.
