The southbound lanes of the Esterley Tibbetts Highway, between the Cayman International School roundabout and the AL Thompsons roundabout, have been temporarily closed due to the fire at the George Town Landfill. The northbound lanes currently remain open but may also be closed if necessary.
The Department of Children & Family Services is hosting a Windsor Park Community Fun Day on Saturday, 25 January, at the Windsor Park Park. In order to facilitate the event, Hawkins Drive will be closed between Mango Turn and the east side of the park, from 4:00PM to 6:30PM.
The Cayman Islands Government will be hosting National Heroes Day Celebrations in central George Town, on Monday, 27 January (Public Holiday) starting at 9:00AM. Due to this ceremony, there will be road closures on Fort Street and surrounding streets over the weekend from 24-27 January.
RCIPS traffic enforcement continues, with several prosecutions over the past four days. Officers also responded to a single-vehicle collision on Sunday, 19 January, where a car had subsequently caught fire.

In order to facilitate roadworks, Shamrock Road, between Mahogany Drive and the Chrissy Thomlinson roundabout, will be closed to eastbound traffic daily from 9:00AM to 2:00PM, beginning on Thursday, 16 January. The road works are expected to last for seven days, through Wednesday, 22 January.
In order to facilitate the removal of equipment from a building on Fort Street in George Town, Fort Street, between Harbour Drive and Edward Street, will be closed on Sunday, 12 January. The closure will be in effect from 8:00AM to 12:00PM.
Shortly before 2:00PM yesterday, 9 January, officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on West Bay Road, south of Piper Way involving a Chevrolet Cruze and a Honda motorcycle.
Just before 9:45AM this morning, 9 January, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre, to a motor vehicle collision that took place on the Linford Pierson Highway in George Town.
