Following Hurricane Beryl, when it was safe to do so police carried out patrols throughout the Cayman Islands to assess any damages that may have occurred throughout the islands.
Police are investigating the cause of the collision that resulted in the death of two individuals, that occurred on Shamrock Road, around 2:15AM, Monday 1 July.

The RCIPS is launching a National Gun Amnesty, working with key partners and stakeholders who are taking a stand against illegal guns in our community. The Amnesty will run between 1 and 31 July, 2024, and will allow persons who possess illegal guns, ammunition and any other illegal weapons, to hand them over to the police.
At about 1:45AM on Saturday, 22 June, officers on patrol in Bodden Town came upon a serious single vehicle collision on Shamrock Road, near Christian Berry Drive, involving a Honda Civic, where four persons were injured.
This past Saturday morning, officers responded to a number of traffic incidents in Cayman Brac and Grand Cayman, which appear to have been caused by Driving Under the Influence. These incidents serve as a reminder to the public to refrain from driving while under the influence of any alcohol or drugs.
On Tuesday, 4 June, around 4:30PM, the RCIPS will be escorting dignitaries from West Bay Road to an event in Bodden Town, as part of the 26th Conference of the Caribbean Postal Union and 20th Council of Caribbean Ministers for Postal Affairs.
From 4:30PM today, Thursday, 23 May, representatives from various Cayman Islands law enforcement agencies will be taking part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which marks the opening ceremony of the 2024 Special Olympics.
Police have identified the names of the deceased victims that were involved in the fatal collision that took place on 13 May. Condolences are being offered to the families and friends of the deceased victims.
