Man Arrested for Assaulting Police and Other Offenses Following Vehicle Stop, 24 November

On Monday evening, 22 November, firearms officers conducting a vehicular checkpoint along Shamrock Road arrested a man, age 21 of Bodden Town, after he became aggressive and disruptive when the officers stopped the vehicle he was a passenger in.

Update: West Bay Man Arrested on Further Offences, 18 November

On Wednesday 17 November, the 26-year-old-man of West Bay, who was previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder (see details below), has now been further arrested by the police on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime and possession of an unlicensed firearm.

The man, age 27 of East End, who was arrested following the recovery of a firearm and ammunition in George Town on Wednesday, 10 November, has now been formally charged with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm, Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm (Ammunition), and Intentional Harassment Alarm or Distress.

Update: West Bay Man Formally Charged with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm, 4 November

Police can confirm that just before 9:20PM on Saturday 10 July, armed officers were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre, to the West Bay District, where reports were received of shots being fired. The officers are currently on scene and making checks in the West Bay area.

Police Investigate Three Consecutive Firearm Incidents, 11 October

RCIPS Firearms Response Unit responded to a 911-Emegrency dispatch to a report of shots being fired in the area of Finch Drive, West Bay. Shortly thereafter, two subsequent reports of shots fired at two separate locations in George Town were received and responded to by the police.
