On Wednesday 17 November, the 26-year-old-man of West Bay, who was previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder (see details below), has now been further arrested by the police on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
On Wednesday 17 November, a George Town man, age 20, was arrested by the police on suspicion of possession of unlicensed firearm in relation to the below shooting incidents that took place on 11 October.
The man, age 27 of East End, who was arrested following the recovery of a firearm and ammunition in George Town on Wednesday, 10 November, has now been formally charged with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm, Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm (Ammunition), and Intentional Harassment Alarm or Distress.
Police can confirm that just before 9:20PM on Saturday 10 July, armed officers were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre, to the West Bay District, where reports were received of shots being fired. The officers are currently on scene and making checks in the West Bay area.
