A man, age 41 of George Town, has been formally charged with Assault GBH, along with Consumption of Ganja, and Refusal to Provide a Sample of Urine, in relation to an incident on Saturday, 27 June. He remains in custody and is appearing in court tomorrow, 14 July.

Woman Charged for George Town Burglary, 13 July

13th July, 2020

A woman, age 41 of George Town, has been formally charged with Burglary in relation to an incident reported on Tuesday, 26 May, where a business on North Church Street was broken into and items taken. She appears in court today, 13 July.

Robbery in George Town, 10 July

10th July, 2020

Shortly before 9:30PM yesterday, 9 July, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a business premises on Mary Street in George Town. Two men entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded cash. The men then took a quantity of cash from the register and fled on foot. No one was injured during the incident.

Update: Wanted Man Charged, 29 June

Just before 4:25PM today 25 June, police located and arrested wanted man Simon Julio Newball in the Eastern Avenue area of George Town. He has now been formally charged with 11 offenses, and appears in court Monday morning, 29 June.

Update: Man Charged for Wounding in North Side, 29 June

29th June, 2020

Shortly before 9:30PM last night, 26 June, officers responded to a report at an address in North Side, where a man was stabbed by another man known to him. EMS attended the location and transported the victim to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment. A man has been arrested and charged in relation to the incident.

Update: Sudden Death (Water Related) in South Sound, 5 June

Just before 4:30PM on Wednesday, 3 June, police and other emergency services were dispatched to an address on South Sound Road, where it was reported that a woman was found unresponsive in a pool at the location. Police have now confirmed the identity of the deceased.
