RCIPS Responds to Vehicle Break-Ins, Reminds Public Not to Leave Valuables in Vehicles, 19 March

Following reports of vehicle break-ins over the past few days the RCPS is reminding the public to avoid leaving any valuables in their vehicles, especially overnight, and where they are visible to passersby. People should also take extra care to park vehicles in well-lit areas with security cameras nearby, if at all possible.

Police are requesting public assistance to locate Eral Keith Whitely, age 72 of George Town, who was last confirmed seen on Boxing Day, 26 December, 2018, in the vicinity of Brushy Avenue in George Town, which is located in the area off Godfrey Nixon Way.

Two Injured in Construction Site Accident, 24 January

24th January, 2019

Shortly after 1:15PM today, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre received a report of an accident that had taken place at a construction site on South Sound Road, where two men received injuries. Emergency Services attended the location and the men were transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment.

Jet Ski Missing from off West Bay Road, 18 December

18th December, 2018

Police have received a report that a red and black Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 jet ski has broken away from its mooring point and is now missing. The jet ski was last seen in the water off the WaterColours complex on West Bay Road sometime on Sunday, 16 December, and was discovered missing yesterday afternoon, 17 December.

8 Arrested in George Town on Suspicion of Gambling Offences, 14 December

Shortly after 9:30PM on 14 December, officers in George Town executed a warrant at an address on Owen Roberts Drive, where it was suspected illegal gambling was taking place. Officers arrested 8 persons at the location on suspicion of unlawful gaming and using a place as a common gaming house, and seized a quantity of cash.

Man Charged with 6 Offenses, Including Resisting Arrest and Assaulting an Officer, 10 December

A man, age 28 of George Town, has been formally charged with Assaulting a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Intentional Harassment, Alarm or Distress, and two counts of Common Assault. He is appearing in court this morning, 10 December.
