On 31st October, several neighbourhoods across the Cayman Islands will be celebrating Halloween and as such the RCIPS would like to remind the public to exercise caution during the times that children will be out an about to trick-or-treat, approximately between 5PM and 9PM.
On the morning of Friday, 1 November, North Church Street will be closed between Lobster Pot and Burger King in order to facilitate an Emergency Training Exercise. The closure will be in effect for a 30 minute period between 9:00AM and 10:00AM, however the exact time within this window is uncertain.
Radio Cayman will be hosting the Breeze Fusion 5/10K Walk/Run on Saturday, 2 November, beginning at 6:00AM. The event will begin at Smith’s Barcadere and is expected to conclude by 9:30AM.
The Cayman Islands Triathlon Association will be hosting the annual Cayman Islands Triathlon on Sunday, 3 November, from 6:00AM to 11:00AM. The event will begin and end at the Seven Mile Public Beach and traffic will be restricted on West Bay Road between Lime Tree Bay Avenue and the SMB roundabout during this time.
The RCIPS is informing the public that the temporary closure of Anton Bodden Drive to westbound traffic during the morning hours will be resumed from Monday, 28 October.
Sinai Church Apostolic & Prophetic will be hosting a March for Jesus on Saturday, 26 October, beginning at 5:00PM and ending at 7:30PM. No roads will be closed for this event, however motorists are advised to exercise caution when travelling along the route of the March on Saturday evening.
Goring Avenue will be closed between South Church Street and Louise Llewellyn Way, from 7:00AM until 11:00PM on Saturday, 26 October, in order to facilitate a company event.
The RCIPS is informing the public that there will be a temporary traffic flow adjustment made to traffic entering the Hurley’s roundabout on weekday evenings, beginning next Monday, 28 October.
The Business & Professional Women’s Club is hosting their annual Silent Witness March today, 18 October, beginning at 3:30PM in front of the old Government Administration Building and ending at the Legislative Assembly Building. Motorists traveling in these areas this afternoon are advised to exercise caution.
In order to facilitate a static function hosted by the National Museum on Saturday, 19 October, Goring Avenue will be closed between South Church Street and Louise Llewellyn Way, from 5:00AM to 11:59PM.
