Just after 8:00AM on Wednesday, 3 June, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 911 Communications Centre to a report of a collision that took place at a residence on West Church Street in the vicinity of Garston Smith Drive in West Bay.
On Saturday, 9 May, police officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle along West Bay Road, in the vicinity of the four-way junction of West Church Street.
Police officers attended an address in West Bay, in search of two missing juveniles who were believed to be harboured there.
Shortly after 11:20AM on Friday, 17 April, officers responded to a report of a person in distress at the Governor’s Beach off West Bay Road.

On Wednesday, 5 March, two men were arrested during a joint response by CICG, DOE and RCIPS. Over 150 conch, and multiple fish with signs of spear penetration, were recovered and seized by the DOE officers.

It was reported that a man had been swimming in the waters there when he appeared to experience difficulties. He was rendered assistance but was later pronounced dead.
On Saturday morning, 10 January, just after 8:50AM, the Cayman Islands Coast Guard duty team responded to a report of a person in distress in the waters off the West Bay Dock.
A man, age 21 residing in Bodden Town, has been arrested and formally charged with two counts of Attempted Murder, along with Possession of a Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, in relation to an incident which took place on Saturday, 22 February 2025, in West Bay.
