Police Investigate Street Robbery in George Town, 15 June

At about 1:45AM today, 15 June, officers responded to a report of a robbery outside an apartment complex off Sound Way in George Town. It was reported that a woman had just arrived at the location when she was approached by two masked men who robbed her of her backpack.

Shortly after 3:00PM yesterday, 13 June, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a liquor store in Heritage Square on West Bay Road. Officers attended the location and conducted enquiries, and, shortly afterwards, arrested a man age 28, residing in West Bay, on suspicion of robbery.

Men Arrested for Attempting to Evade the Police, 13 June

Police have arrested two men, following a vehicle pursuit which began in the Shedden Road area of George Town. Just after 8:15 AM on Wednesday, 11 June, police were on patrol in the area, when they observed a vehicle with no registration plates attached and whose occupants appeared to be behaving suspiciously.

Man Arrested Following Arson in George Town, 11 June

Shortly before 2:30AM yesterday, 10 June, police responded to a report of a vehicle on fire at an address on July Street, in George Town. The fire appeared to have been deliberately started. Following enquiries, officers later arrested a man, who is known to the owner of the vehicle, on suspicion of arson.

The man, age 35 of West Bay, who police apprehended following an attempted armed robbery at a restaurant in Marquee Plaza on Lawrence Boulevard, on Saturday, 10 May, has been formally charged with Attempted Robbery, Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm and Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm (Ammunition).
